Terry Time

The Terry Time Trust was set up early in 2019 to help Maltese Radio Personality Terry Farrugia continue his fight against leukaemia.

In Malta Terry is considered to be a radio legend in his own right, starting his career on Island Sound Radio in the early 90s with “Terry Time”. He then moved his radio show to Bay Radio, later moving on to 88.7 Vibe FM.

Terry was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) in 2016 and has been fighting the disease since. AML is a type of blood cancer that is caused by the bone marrow malfunctioning and releasing immature white blood cells: these cells are not able to properly carry out their function in fighting off infections and the patient’s immune system is severely compromised.

Up until now Terry’s treatment was only possible thanks to the support of the Malta Community Chest Fund, Puttinu Cares, the Treatment Abroad Section of the Health Department, the Haematology Team at SAMOC, Maltese High Commission, the LadyBird Foundation and close friends of the family. A considerable number of media personalities, as well as a large number of friends of the family, have come together and set up a charitable trust, The Terry Time Trust, with the aim of helping the family in these difficult times and help raise €500,000.

With the assistance of CSB Trustees and Fiduciaries Limited, a trustee company licenced by the MFSA, the team of Terry Time Trust has been working around the clock to raise the much needed funds to pay for the treatment needed.
