Project HOPE

Project HOPE places power in the hands of local health care workers to save lives across the globe, and was already on the ground in Wuhan before this pandemic began and is one of the only international relief organizations that has had a response team in China throughout the COVID-19 outbreak. Since January, HOPE has delivered more than 5 million pieces of essential personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect health workers. This equipment includes face masks, isolation gowns, protective coveralls, and gloves. HOPE has also provided lifesaving medical equipment including ventilators, medical air compressors, and disinfection machines. Now, they are turning their focus to the US, and with your help, will soon be delivering similar PPE to health care workers on the front lines who are currently risking their own lives to save ours. Sixty percent of the world’s PPE is produced in China, and as Project HOPE has worked there for over 40 years, they know how to identify, procure and export this equipment immediately as needed. As they do around the world, HOPE will also be working with local communities to identify where they can support additional needs as they develop.
