Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Cystic fibrosis is a life-shortening inherited disease, affecting over 10,000 people in the UK. You can't catch or develop cystic fibrosis, it's something you're born with, and most cases in the UK are now diagnosed soon after birth. If you or someone you know has been recently diagnosed with cystic fibrosis it can be overwhelming, but the Cystic Fibrosis Trust can help with information and support.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity making a daily difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis and those who care for them. Most people don't understand what cystic fibrosis is, or what it does, until someone close to them is affected by it. They soon discover it’s a life-shortening genetic condition. Only half live to celebrate their 40th birthday.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is tackling this disease by investing in cutting-edge research, driving up medical standards, providing support for all, campaigning hard and increasing awareness of Cystic fibrosis.
