Banco di solidarietà di Bologna ODV

The "Banco di Solidarietà" association in Bologna has the mission of social solidarity without profit, in accordance with the dictates of the Christian faith, committed to helping people in need and those who are in difficult circumstances in order to foster culture and acts of shared charity.

The association was set up by a group of friends who - after having become aware of the basic needs of families and people in difficulty in the city - identified a common goal of responding to the problem of hunger and poverty, working with the following aspects in mind:

1. periodic food provision
2. sharing needs through friendship
3. raising awareness for charity action in the community

While attempting to address the very real problem of the need for food, we also work to discover the meaning of life behind that need.

The primary activity of the Solidarity Bank is the home delivery of parcels containing essentials (mainly food) to those in need in Bologna and the province. Currently, the Solidarity Bank provides food support to approximately 300 families, for a total of about 900 individuals (+ 25% compared to 1 year ago), with the support of about 200 volunteers.
