L'isola che c'è, 2018

30x45 cm

My mother Ester in the garden of the family home in Isola Serafini, in the province of Piacenza.

Isola Serafini is the only inhabited island of the Po river. This shot is part of a long-term project that explores the parallel between this place, in the process of redevelopment thanks to the "Isola dei Tre Ponti" Cooperative , which aims to fight the depopulation that has affected the island over the years, and the maintenance of family ties throughout life.

Elisa Bardoni is a photographer who is interested in exploring various aspects of humanity and society with long-term projects, telling stories through images and words, between documentation and the intimacy.

Some of her works have been exhibited in the 2019 edition of the Festival of Ethical Photography:

“Ghetto Prayer”, in the OFF Circuit, and two stories in the Official Festival circuit as part of

"Article 1", collective project on immigration and work in the city of Lodi.

The "L'Isola che cè" project was exhibited in 2022 at the Photo Gallery f64 art gallery in Podgorica, Montenegro.
