Bike and trek through the magnificent Columbia River Gorge on a half-day trip from Portland. Experience the iconic beauty of the Pacific Northwest as your guide leads an all-ability bike ride through the Gorge, stopping to hike and explore majestic waterfalls. Choose a morning or afternoon tour and meet in downtown Portland to collect your bike and board the coach to Columbia River Gorge. Use the 45-minute drive as a time to charge up and snap photos before some active exploring of the Gorge's main attractions. Upon arriving, transfer to your bike and follow your guide on a leisurely 10-mile ride through the hills along the country's first National Scenic Highway. Stop for short nature hikes through evergreen forests, where you may spy an osprey or an elusive bald eagle. Your guide will lead your trek past hidden waterfalls — take some time to bathe in their cool mist from afar or wade into the shallow pools (with appropriate shoes, of course!).

For some of the most spectacular scenery in the world - pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks - the half-day tour of Multnomah Falls and the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls is right up your alley! Along part of the 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge's steep rocky sides, this half-day tour invites you to explore and meditate on natural wonders, while enjoying very short hikes and visits to awe-inspiring overlooks and vistas! The most iconic and unmissable Multnomah Falls is the tallest in Oregon, and one of the most photographed waterfalls in the world. Depending on weather conditions, this tour could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt. The guides will also divulge stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories they've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall!

Or head 80 miles out to the Pacific for a full-day trip to Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock, where you'll find stunning beaches and beautiful towns along Oregon's northern coast. Your full-day tour of Oregon's northern coast starts with morning hotel pickup in downtown Portland. Be sure to grab your coffee and breakfast for the ride to Neahkahnie Point, an amazing spot to look for whales and where you can see miles of Oregon's coastline. Disembark in Manzanita, where you can spend time on the beach or explore the quaint boutiques downtown. Next, head to Short Sand Beach where you embark on a short walk through old-growth forest before arriving at a beautifully secluded sandy beach. Then head into Cannon Beach for some antiquing and lunch, before continuing to Haystack Rock, where you can walk out to Haystack's base if the tide is out, explore tide pools and glimpse scurrying sea creatures! Then enjoy some free time to walk along the beach, warm up with locally-roasted coffee, and peruse the town's eclectic shops and art galleries. Your return trip stops at Camp 18, a historical logging museum that provides a window into Oregon's timber industry, before arriving back at your Portland hotel in the evening.
