Lord of the Rings Tankard Display!

Estimated Value: £3500

A tankard used in the epic adventure film Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Tasked with the destruction of the One Ring by the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), the young hobbit Frodo (Elijah Wood) heads off for Mordor, followed by a band of warriors dedicated to destroying the ring and bringing about the destruction of the evil Lord Sauron.

This tankard was used by one of the patrons of the Prancing Pony tavern, where the hobbits first stop on their journey to the Elven city of Rivendell. Made of metal, the tankard is made in a conical shape, tapering up from the base, and is finished in pewter and distressed to look old and well-used.

A fantastic piece from one of cinema’s most famous fantasy films, the tankard comes with an original certificate of authenticity from New Line Cinema and measures 16cm x 13cm x 13cm (6.25” x 5.25” x 5.25”). The tankard is presented in a stunning bespoke display with a laser-cut mount board featuring the film’s logo, stills from the film and an opening front panel allowing direct access to the piece. A must-have piece for any Lord of the Rings or fantasy collection.
