The Prize

This auction is for the incredible opportunity to own the 'Pride in Battle' sign that used to adorn the tunnel at the Etihad Stadium.

This one-off sign has been taken out of the player tunnel at the Etihad Stadium, the sign was positioned on the inside of the tunnel where the players lined up and passed underneath the sign on their way on to the pitch.

This item comes including two side panels, one panel for each side of the ‘Pride in Battle’ sign. Each of the side panels feature the Club Crest.

Dimensions of central main Pride in Battle panel: 2m length x 25cm depth
Dimensions of side panels: 110cm length x 25cm depth

‘Pride in Battle’ is the English translation of the Latin phrase ‘Superbia In Proelia’ which has featured on the Club crest in recent times.

This item has recently been removed from the Etihad Stadium hospitality areas as part of the re-branding project launching the new badge of Manchester City.

Conditions: The auction winner will be notified via email. The item is available for collection from City in the Community's office at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. If the winner wants the item delivered, the winner is responsible for the cost of delivery. Due to the size of the item, delivery will take approximately 30 working days. The Cause

Manchester City's charity, City in the Community, has launched a new fundraising initiative Healthy Goals empowering healthier lives through football.

Profits raised will uplift the physical and mental health of young people by creating new community football spaces in Manchester, where the charity's youth-led programmes can also be delivered.

Manchester City is bolstering the Healthy Goals initiative by matching all donations made before the fundraising window closes in September 2023, pound-for-pound. Overall, City Football Group will contribute a maximum of £125,000 (GBP) to City in the Community through this campaign or £500,000 (GBP) in total for all City Football Group affiliated charities participating in the campaign (whichever comes first).
