Participate in the Monfalcone regatta on board the Barraonda, the competition sailboat !

You will live all the emotions of the race alongside the skipper Diego Paoletti, who in his lengthy career can count two campaigns in Americas Cup, two Volvo Ocean Races (the round world trip with crew) and various participations in the highest national and international championships, resulting in more wins in the most important regattas of the Mediterranean. Along side him is Walter Riosa, Italian champion and vice champion of Master Finn World, from which some of the biggest Americans Cup sailors have competed in, along with a group of skilled professionals with many years of experience backing them.

Barraonda has been projected by German Frers Jr, who is from one of the most internationally recognized and appraised families in ship building and construction. Credited to him is also the ideation of the Luna Rossa of Prada, the Moro of Venezia and the Stealth, Gianni Agnelli’s boat.

Barraonda and Doctors in Africa Cuamm have come together to support “Women and children first”, the project that ONG has initiated in 2012. 

The regatta will be held on the 30^th and 31^st of August at Monfalcone in the beautiful Friuli gulf.

Terms: The auction is valued for one person.  The regatta will be held between Monfalcone and Portorose. The boarding is expected for 8:00am of Saturday August 30^th and the return is predicted for Sunday 31th August around 5:00pm. There will be an overnight stay at Portorose and where there will be a dinner with the team. The price of the hotel and the dinner are not included in the price of the auction and are responsible to the winning bidder.

The schedule will be confirmed at the presentation of the program of the regatta which occurs a week before the date.

It is recommended to wear weather appropriate clothing with a change for the return, sneakers to wear on the dock before boarding, and a windbreaker suitable for the weather.

Unfortunately, due to safety issues, and due to the fact that the Barraonda is a high performance boat, people with limited physical mobility cannot participate. It is also imprudent for the commander to board a guest if the weather conditions become too severe it could endanger the guest.
