The Prize

This auction is for a pair of River Island Stilettos, worn and signed by Elsie.

Elsie makes beat and bass-heavy music, placing a lot of importance on song-writing as well as soundscapes, with powerful vocal melodies and delivery. Her music has appeared on shows including Showtime’s Californication and The Bold & The Beautiful. Elsie is currently collaborating with a number of Electronic Music writers and producers including Brey Baptista (Jessie Ware), Singularis, Dexcell, Tatron and Rokuro. Aside from writing, Elsie has spent the last three years singing BVs for and touring the world with everyone from Tom Jones and Lady Gaga to Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora and Peter Gabriel.

Elsie has supported Small Steps Project with a shoe donation every year since 2012!

This year, Elsie has kindly donated these stunning, UK size 6, red, beige and lumo yellow strappy gold stilettos by River Island. Both shoes are signed on the sole.

I've donated my beloved heels to Small Steps Project because children shouldn't be living in the squalar of rubbish dumps all over the world. I know the huge impact Small Steps has on their lives and I will continue to support this amazing cause."

The Cause

Small Steps Project is a children’s charity dealing with the most devastating humanitarian consequence of the global waste problem: child waste pickers.

All over the world thousands of children survive by collecting and recycling rubbish on landfill sites. Deprived of an education, they work when they should be at school and put their lives at risk on a daily basis. Work on the dumps is dirty and dangerous. As well as respiratory and skin diseases, cuts and lacerations to their hands and feet are commonplace and risk of infection is extremely high in the toxic environment.

Small Steps Project provides shoes to protect their feet and support to enable them to take small steps off the dump sites, out of poverty and into education.

To date, Small Steps Project has provided shoes and aid to over 20,000 children thanks to the money raised from shoes, all donated and signed by some of the most famous celebrities in the world.
