SOS Villaggi dei Bambini is part of SOS Children's Villages network, the largest organization worldwide that has been committed for more than 70 years to supporting children and young people without family care or at risk of losing it. We work with families to prevent crises that cause separation and we provide family based care to children deprived of adequate care. We operate in 136 countries and territories, taking care of over 1 million people, among children, boys and girls and their families.

In Italy, the organization promotes the rights of over 44.000 children and young people and takes care of over 1.000 people, which include children, young people and families who experience serious moments of hardship. It works through 6 SOS Villages - in Trento, Ostuni (Brindisi), Vicenza, Rome, Saronno (Varese), Mantua - an intercultural family foster program in Turin and a psychosocial support program for Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children in Calabria.
