Fondazione Ariel

Fondazione Ariel is a charity founded in 2003 to support families and kids affected by brain paralysis and other neuromotor disabilities. In Italy, one child in 500 is affected by pediatric brain paralysis—a illness caused by permanent trauma to the neuromotor system, which prevents kids from moving. When this happens, the family, as well as the child, is affected. Fondazione Ariel wants to help these families (more than 40,000 in Italy) to help them live a better experience and to support them in multiple ways: education, social support and pshycological support, and clown therapy and entertainment for kids in the hospital. Moreover, we promote educational courses for families and volunteers, as well as for the doctors who cure them so that they can promptly diagnose the illness. Meanwhile, we support scientific research for the knowledge, the treatment and the cure of this illness.
